This Software update improves/corrects the following functions of IVE-W554ABT:
- Track forward/backward not working correctly, displaying track 1 of 1.
IVE-W554ABT Software Update Instructions
The unit can be updated via USB connection.
1. Download IVE-W554ABT_SW_Update.zip (above file)
2. Extract the .zip file using WinZip or other unzipping program, and add the folder (_GAVN_Updates) in the root directory of a USB memory device.
Note: the USB memory device should not contain any other files and should be formatted in FAT32 format.
3. Remove the USB from your computer.
4. Turn the headunit on.
5. Connect the USB memory device into the USB extension lead connected to the rear of the head unit.
6. After a short moment, you will receive a pop up. The head unit will ask if you want to update, select yes.
8. The update will start and display will show that it is updating. Do not turn the unit off or press any buttons whilst this process is occuring.
9. Remove the USB memory device and turn vehicle accessories off. The update is complete.

The following update is compatible with: IVE-W554ABT.
The update will prevent the following:
◦ Third beep on call hang up being too loud

◦Do NOT use the compressed file to update, otherwise the IVE-W554ABT cannot recognise the files.
◦Do NOT change folder or file names, otherwise the IVE-W554ABT cannot recognise the files.
◦Do NOT put _GAVN_Updates folder into another folder.
◦Do NOT store any other folders/files on the USB device.
◦Do NOT remove the USB device while updating.
◦Do NOT update while driving.
◦Do NOT press any buttons while updating.
◦Do NOT turn off vehicle’s ignition or head unit’s power switch while updating.
Modern vehicles will shut down the ignition (ACC) after some time if the engine is not running. If you are not sure if this applies to your car, leave the engine idling while the update is in progress.
Bluetooth Firmware Update Procedure
1. Right click the downloaded “_GAVN_Updates“ file (above) and select “Extract” or “Unzip”.
2. Open the extracted folder and copy the entire “_GAVN_Updates“ folder to the empty USB device in the Root Folder.
3. Connect the USB device to the IVE-W554ABT USB connection cable whilst in Radio Tuner mode.
4. Press “AV-Update” button when the update message appears on the screen.
During the update, a progress bar will appear. It will take around 10 minutes.
5. When the software update is finished, the IVE-W554ABT will restart automatically.
