Streaming from a smartphone is now the most popular way to enjoy music, but sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. Alpine Status overcomes this problem by providing the highest possible quality via direct USB cable connection* from any level of streamed audio, up to hi-res 192kHz/24bit, so you actually hear the original recorded sound purity. What’s more, you can also enjoy the music that you’ve downloaded to your device at super high quality (up to 192kHz). You’ll definitely hear the difference—your music will not only sound clearer, it will be more dynamic and “live” than anything you’re used to in a vehicle. You’ll appreciate your favorite music more than ever, and your passengers will be impressed and delighted!

You may have a vehicle that doesn’t allow you to replace the pre-installed audio/navigation system. Or perhaps you like the way it looks and works, and don’t want to change it. The Alpine Status DSP Amplifier and Head Unit overcome this difficulty by achieving perfect integration for 192kHz/24bit hi-res sound quality without compromising the installation or operability of the original factory system. You can continue to use your present CD player, radio and so on, while getting the benefit of a much higher level of sound quality.
The Alpine Status DSP Amplifier provides up to 12 channels of analog input for the original sound system. It uses advanced time correction technology to provide a superior, all-encompassing in-car audio environment. It also features two-channel subwoofer output for an even richer, more dynamic sound. Normally, two-channel input would be sufficient for audio purposes, but you can retain the original system capability that only a multi-channel system can provide. For example, if hands-free phone calls are played from the driver's side speaker in the original system, the Alpine Status system also plays them from the driver's side speaker. It also has the advantage that the warning sound while driving can be played from the same position as the original system.
If the factory head unit can be removed, you can replace it with an Alpine audio/navigation unit, giving you a wide range of media selection and greater ease of use.
